Burp requires a minimum of 4Gb of memory. If you are performing large amounts of work or testing large or complex applications, you may need more memory than this. If you are unsure whether your computer is suitable, you should first test the free edition of Burp Suite on your computer to satisfy yourself that it works correctly.

Note: To run version 2022.8.4 and above, the minimum Java version must be JDK 11. The minimum Java version required for other versions has not been checked, but JDK 11 is recommended for all versions.
Note: Running version 2022.3.9 and above (and possibly earlier versions) with JDK version 16 and above is not directly possible. To run with JDK16+, first, run burploader.jar and then with the command
java -noverify –illegal-access=permit -javaagent:burploader.jar -jar burpsuite_pro_v2022.3.9.jar
In CMD, run the software itself (put the desired version instead of v2022.3.9) and use the burploader window that you opened earlier to generate the key and activate the software.
